Therapy games for kids with Down Syndrome
"I remember during one of the tests of Ludkids, we have made several updates to get the platform better and launch the new game to practice speech, so I sat next to this little girl, she has Down Syndrome and I watched her playing with the game and "loosing" with the world "ball".
After 3 times trying she finally got it! 3 stars on the screen and she gave me a HUGE SMILE"
LudKids Game is an app created along psychologists, educators, speech therapists, developers and designers for kids with intelectual disabilities grow better, most for Down Syndrome and autism, the kids have a major difficult with speech and cognition capabilities that could be improved with the right and frequent practice.
My role: I was the leader and initial creator of this, but also responsible for all the user experience and visual design.

Process
Before jumping to a game solution we observe how they interact with tablets an understood their routines, most of them don't have access of quality education or access to tools that they can learn at home.
We also studied the market, the public, the main pain and then we start the game develop where our highlight is to use the professionals knowhow as the heart of the game, we applied a beautiful design and make the practice of the psychologist, neuropsychologist, teacher and others in a fun way for the kid.
All the interactions are also approved by specialists and the kids.
The games
The shape game:
Helps with motor skill, shape recognition and to learn the sound of each letter.
The color room:
It's where the child starts to identify with the game and deepen their relationship and understanding of it, also during research we discovered that the kids really liked colors and to play with it. All the actions of the game has sounds, to help their knowledge.
Memory game:
Traditional memory game to develop logical thinking and agility.
The speech practice:
Through them, children develop speech by training the 5 main muscle groups of speech, namely bilabial, labiodental, linguodental and vibro.
